Benny Andallo
Benny Andallo, a Filipino-British designer has reshaped the stuffy narrative of millinery since 2019. Boldly proclaiming himself a “silly crown designer” Andallo designs vivid experimental hats, inspired by the dynamic energy of London, and crafted to stand out in dreary urban landscapes.
The project celebrated the vibrant culture of London by spotlighting six resident DJ’s from Foundation FM, with six bespoke hats—Championing women and queer people, it is testament to the social richness of our city; A union of fashion and music.
We curated and produced an event to bring a physical element to Benny Andallo’s work; An element that was missing from the online retail spaces he was operating within.
The spotlighted DJ’s from the campaign played at our event in the heart of East London. We held a raffle to win one of Benny’s creations and created a V&A style presentation of his crown collection for the six DJs/Muses.
This project led to a collaboration between Benny Andallo and brands such as Liberty London, LN-CC and more. We formed the bridge between himself and Foundation.FM - which led to further collaborations. The visibility Benny gained from Hi-Fi led to the hats from this collection being used for various editorials and celebrities.
