Hi-Fi Presents: SS26
The September Hi-Fi event was a multi-designer showcase, featuring a curated selection of designers presenting their work within immersive, art-directed environments spread across three floors.
Spanning multiple mediums — including runway presentations, fashion film screenings, live performance, installation, and an after party — the event blended fashion with music, dance, performance, and spatial design.
Our aim is to reimagine the traditional fashion event format and reintroduce a sense of drama, presence, and excitement to London Fashion Week.
The afternoon unfolded as guests arrived and were led upstairs, stepping into the world of Maximilian Raynor for his SS26 runway presentation.
A couple slow danced as the audience took their seats.
The show was “inspired by a boy who stumbles across a box of family photographs. That night he dreams of a retro birthday party, where the ghosts of his ancestors are all in attendance.”
Guests are ushered back downstairs into a blacked-out room washed in ambient light, entering an enchanting and immersive set that transports them into Timisola Shasanya’s SS26 presentation Runners and accompanying film screening.
Models are dotted throughout the space, standing or seated on luxury furniture pieces, holding still as part of the tableau. Fabric-based art installations, inspired by Timisola’s Nigerian heritage, punctuate the room, extending the narrative into its surrounding environment.
‘Runners’ is a dark, seductive menswear collection that fuses intricate textiles and precise tailoring with explorations of gesture, race, memory, and heritage.
Drawing on her multicultural upbringing between Nigeria and rural Kent, Shasanya creates garments where culture and craftsmanship are intricately woven together.
Runners embodies tension and duality between softness and rigidity, tradition and innovation, memory and reinvention
Guests pass through plastic butcher’s curtains into the final room, where designer Ella Douglas presents her SS26 collection, The Yellow Pages, alongside a screening of her fashion film, featured within an art installation by Isabel Ulatowski.
“Through the PVC curtains, guests step into the world of a grease-stained office, shoved into the corner of a lesbian-owned garage, tucked deep within an industrial estate. Ella Douglas aims to redefine business casual through a subversive fusion of maintenance and decoration, grit and glamour.”
Following the runway shows, film screenings, and designer presentations, we hosted the on schedule Hi-Fi LFW After Party in the basement of our venue.
